Louise J. Carter CHARLESTON - I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8. It's with profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother, sister, a faithful member of Morris Street Baptist Church for seventy-five years, and an educator. Mrs. Louise J. Carter, 90, a resident of Charleston, SC, transitioned from labor to reward on Sunday morning, January 8, 2023. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Louise J. Carter and of her husband, the late Rev. John K. Carter, Sr., her children; Rev. John K. Carter, Jr. (Joycelyn), Mrs. K. Vanessa Stewart (Robert), and Mrs. Cynthia E. Frasier (Solomon, Sr.), her sister, Ms. Rachel M. Jones, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews. cousins, friends are respectfully invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service Saturday, January 21, 2023, 12 Noon, at Morris Street Baptist Church, 25 Morris Street, Charleston, SC 29403. The Rev. F. Keith Thorne, Sr., will eulogize Mrs. Carter and interment will follow at the Morris Street Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Carter will repose in Morris Street Baptist Church on Friday, January 20, 2023 from 5:00PM-7:00PM. A time of reflection and visitation with the family will be observed from 6:00PM-7:00PM. Due to COVID-19, everyone is required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing. Arrangements entrusted to NORTH AREA FUNERAL. HOME, 4784 Gaynor Ave., N. Chas., SC. Tele 843 744-7571.
