Louis Netterville Obituary

Louis Netterville MONCKS CORNER - Louis Edward Netterville, 77 of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Born on July 18, 1947, in Decatur, IL, he was a son of the late Betty Cripe Netterville and Charles E Netterville. Louis attended Cerro Gordo High School until drafted into the Army to serve our country in the Vietnam War for 2 tours beginning in 1966. Louis retired as Master Sergeant after 22 years in the Army. He taught Army JROTC at Goose Creek High School as First Sergeant, retiring again after 20 years of teaching. He was a Master Mason of the Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. Louis was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed collecting guns, knives and challenge coins, and riding his motorcycle with his granddaughter, Ashley. In addition to his parents, Louis is preceded in death by his grandchild, Ashley A. Netterville and his brother, David Netterville. Louis is survived by his wife, Lynette Netterville; son, Charles Netterville; daughters, Angela Netterville-Tobeck and Barbara Lionetti; grandchildren: Joseph Robillard, Ashley Kay Veta Netterville, Lisa Gotham, and Christopher Gotham; great-granddaughter, Amelia Gotham; brothers: Carl Netterville (Karen), Larry Netterville (Shirley), and David Netterville; and sister, Janice Netterville. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 17, 2025, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral & Cremation - Goose Creek. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Miles Road Baptist Church, Building C, 816 Miles Jamison Rd., in Summerville, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miles Road Baptist Church in his name. Expressions of sympathy may be viewed or submitted online at mcalister-smith.com/. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 869 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek, SC 29445, 843-553-1511.

Louie was a Great person and he would do anything for anyone. What ever needed to be done you could count on him. Will be missed by many people. Prayers and Hugs for the family.
