Lillian Roberts Mobley FLORENCE, SC - Lillian Roberts Mobley, 87, of Florence, died Sunday morning, June 7, 2009 at her residence at the Heritage Home following an illness. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2009 in Grove Hill Cemetery. Burial will follow directed by STOUDENMIRE-DOWLING FUNERAL HOME. Mrs. Mobley was born in Siler City, NC, a daughter of the late James Henry and Priscilla Finnison Roberts. She was co-owner and operator of the Port City Drug Company of Charleston, SC. She was a Charter member of the Cooper River Baptist Church of North Charleston, SC and a Sunday School Teacher. Her hobbies included Needle Point and Reading. She loved her two dogs, Charlie and Lucy. She was preceded in death by her only child, Judy Diane Fountain, who died in 2004; her parents, her 3 brothers, Garland, Hassel and Howard; sister, Helen Surviving are 5 loving and caring grandchildren and their spouses, Edwin (Lynn) Fountain of Florence, David (Sheila) Fountain of Effingham, Mark (Suzanne) Fountain, Ben (Rayna) Fountain and Josh (Joni) Fountain all of Florence; 4 special great-grandchildren, Ashlyn, Alyssa, Grayson and Tyndall and 5 nephews. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Fountain, 3329 Ebenezer Chase in Florence. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, www.americanheart.org or the Florence area Humane Society, 1007 Stockade Drive, Florence, SC 29506.
