Lillian Leff Obituary

LEFF, Lillian Entered into eternal rest on the morning of May 4, 2007, Lillian Rae Lapin Leff, widow of Jack Leff. Residence, Charleston, SC. The funeral services were held Friday at four o'clock at the graveside in Brith Sholom Beth Israel Cemetery, Maryville. Mrs. Leff was born December 30, 1917 in Charleston, SC, the daughter of Israel Lapin and Dora Goldstein Lapin. She was one of six children. She graduated from Memminger High School and worked at Rephan's Dairy and the Navy Yard. She was married to her beloved husband Jack for fifty-six years before his death in 1999. She had been a resident at Edenbrook for the past six years, where she was loved and will be sorely missed by all. She was a member of Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue and was a member of Sisterhood and Hadassah. She is survived by 2 sons: Terrill Leff and Daniel C. Leff and his wife Sharon all of Charleston, SC; one daughter: Elaine L. Mintz and her husband Daniel of Sammamish, WA; one sister: Frances L. Proctor of Charleston, SC; four grandchildren: Anna and Molly Leff of Charleston, SC, Tessa and Jacob Mintz of Sammamish, WA; many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Brith Sholom Beth Israel Synagogue, 182 Rutledge Avenue, Charleston, SC 29403. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
