Lester Jarrell Obituary

Frank Lester Jarrell BRUNSON, SC - Mr. Frank Lester Jarrell, 93, of Prince William Road, Brunson, entered into eternal rest Friday, April 16, 2010, at his residence. He was the widower of the late Myrtis Lee Gray Jarrell. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2010, at The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Rivers Cemetery. Mr. Jarrell was born March 20, 1917, in Hampton County and was a son of the late Martin Jarrell and Lily Stanley Jarrell. He was a retired mechanic with Westinghouse and a farmer. Mr. Jarrell was a member of Brunson Baptist Church and will be remembered for his love of farming and for being a hard worker. Surviving are: his children, Margie J. Corbin and her husband Kenneth "Tubby" of Varnville, Sharon J. Crosby and her husband Hillard of Grays, Ann J. McMillan of Goose Creek and Tammy J. Rogers and her husband David of Anderson; brothers, Martin Jarrell, Jr. of Hampton, Jimmy Jarrell of Varnville and Wilson Jarrell of Hampton; 9 grandchildren; and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Mishoe; and several brothers and sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Brunson Baptist Church, Roof Fund, 63 South Manker Street, Brunson, SC 29911; or to Rivers Cemetery, c/o Melda Kinard, 203 Cain Street, Hampton, SC 29924. The family will be at the home of Kenneth and Margie Corbin, 41 Roberts Street, Varnville, SC. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 6 until 8 at THE BRICE W.
