JOHNSON, Kern Kern Virginia Duckett Johnson, 91, the widow of Wilbur Stiles Johnson, Jr., O.D., died Thursday, June 9, 2005 in Charleston, SC. Born June 8, 1914 in Leicester, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Oscar Wesley and Rosa Eunice Duckett (nee Rogers). She attended Maryville College and was a member of New Providence Presbyterian Church, Maryville, TN. Her three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. She will be deeply missed by her son Wilbur S. Bill Johnson III, Anacortes, WA; two daughters: Rosa Diane Johnson Aitken, Chicago, IL, and Judith Wade Johnson McMahon, Charleston, SC; five grandchildren: Deanna McMahon Harrington, Christopher Lawrence McMahon, Theresa Johnson Pickel, Steven Andrew Burns, and Kenneth Robert Burns; and six great grandchildren. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Providence Presbyterian Church, 703 West Broadway, Maryville, TN 37801.
