Judy Godbee Obituary

I find myself thinking about you at the most random times! I didn't realize how much I'd miss just knowing you were around, not necessarily for me but for my family. But I suppose you are still around, aren't you! I feel so fortunate that I got to know you, and while I wish you were still here, I know you are much happier where you are now.

I think about you every day, my dear sister in Christ. I can picture you chatting with your favorite saints, your family, yet, still completely in awe and worship before God with that beautiful Judy smile. I keep your picture on my computer and often say a prayer. You are so missed and so loved. You are no longer a phone call away, but a prayer away. It is comforting to acknowledge this. So, as you were so fondly remembered saying, "Listen up, God...," I echo you by saying, "Listen up, Judy...and please pass on my little prayers to the Lord Almighty."

I was in Tommy's class at Divine Redeemer. I remember Mrs. Godbee as such a caring, loving and happy lady. Eventhough I was just a kid, I knew Mrs. Godbee loved being a mom and loved her family immensely. I am praying for you and your family.

Judy was a gift to all of us, a warm giving person whom all will never forget. When I first joined the SCCCW and Father Mc Caffrey introduced us by phone, she was so kind to me and helpful that we became instant friends. I am sad that time & circumstances kept us out of touch & now she has left us for a better place. God has his reasons for which we do not always understand yet pray for accepting his will. Later on we would see each other in the mall, she always had that beautiful smile, she would always tell me what had been happening. Now I will cherish the beautiful memories of our conversations as I'm sure her family will look back and realize how blessed we all were to have her in our life.
