Judith King Obituary

KING, Judith Judith Compton King, wife of David G. King, MD, died on October 3, 2008 following a long illness. She lived on Kiawah Island and was formerly of Greenville, SC. The relatives and friends of Dr. and Mrs. David G. King are invited to attend the funeral services of the latter in Christ Episcopal Church Chapel in Greenville, SC Thursday, October 9, 2008 at three o'clock. Interment, Churchyard. Judy was born February 10, 1935 in Clincho, VA, the daughter of Homer B. Compton and Edith Dixon Compton. She graduated from Dobbyns-Bennett High School, Kingsport, TN and Randolph-Macon Women's College. She was a communicant of Christ Church Episcopal and a member of the Thursday Club and served as President. She is survived by her husband of Kiawah Island, SC; two sons: David King, Jr. and his wife Nina of Greenwich, CT and Steven A. King of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren: Hale, Macaulay and Thayer King; and one sister: Jane Mullins of Athens, GA.
