Josephine Simmons Obituary

Josephine Simmons MONCKS CORNER - Josephine Simmons, 74 of Moncks Corner passed away on February 1, 2012. She was the widow of Willie Milton Simmons. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, February 6th, 2012 at Greater St. James AME Church, Summerville, SC. Josephine was born May 21, 1937 in Holly Hill, SC. She was the daughter of Mr. Fletcher and Emma Gillard. She retired from White Oak Manor Convalescent Home. She will always be remembered for the love she had for her family. Surviving are her children; Renea Steele, Willie "Shortman" Simmons, Kenneth Simmons, Anthony Simmons (Eadie), Donald Simmons (Felecia) and Carol Peace (Alonzo). The grandchildren are Ebony, Donae, Chrystal, Milton, Terrell, Juanita, William, Derrick, Antoinette, Romella, Tisean, Martiniqua, Danielle, Montigue, Shantelle, and Cedric and 11 great grandchildren. Surviving also are her brother, Fletcher Gillard (Hazel) and two sisters, Bernice Clark, and Louise Shaw (James). She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters. There will be a viewing on Sunday, February 5th from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Milligan Funeral Home. 1947 New Highway 52 in Moncks Corner. Visit our guestbook at www.postandcourier.com/ deaths
