You were an amazing teacher and person. You always had a great joke or come back for anything that happened in class or at a football game. I'm so glad that I had a chance to know you and have you as a teacher.

I went to Wando and although a car accident has rendered me "forgetful", as soon as I pulled up the picture, I felt I should at least say goodbye to an unforgettable face. R.I.P. Mr. Kutcher.

Joe and I are cousins: his father and my Mother were siblings. I never meet Joe, yet I spent many summers with his father, Joe, when I stayed with his family, my grandparents.
From the nice notes in this guest book, Joe, Jr, must have been like his father, a gentle, loving person.
I wish the best for the surviving family members.

I am thinking of the time Paul and I climbed to the top of the stadium at a football game to see Joe. He was so excited and so animated. We laughed and carried on and it seemed we were all on top of the world. It was one of those moments that made Joe so special. He made you feel special in just talking to him. He will always be with us in this way.

Seeing the candles lit for each of the messages shows that Joe's one light for life lit many other people's life candles. What a legacy to Joe! May those who have been lit by Joe's candle pass on their flame & make a difference in the lives of others. Joe's love for life in school in Tamaqua and his laugh was contagious! I am praying for the Lord to touch ReBecca and daughters in an unexpected and touching way. With prayers and blessings ...

ReBecca, Sammi, Trista, and Suzi: You have all been under so much stress and have suffered so much pain over the last 2 years, yet have handled it with amazing strength and grace. I wish it was all over, but unfortunately you will continue to grieve for the incredible man that has left all of us much too soon. My hope is that you can take comfort in the knowledge that his influence is like ripples in a pond, continuing to move out farther and farther than either you or he could imagine. His legacy is you--his family--and his students, who will carry a part of him forever. Remember what Dr. Seuss said, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." My thoughts are with all of you in this difficult time...

Rebecca and girls, My little cousin Joey has touched my life in ways I may not ever be able to express in words. Such fond memories of us growing up together, when we would load up the car and head to Tamaqua for a visit, which was fairly often. One of my fondest memories was playing in the basement of the Kutcher home, which at one time had been the TV store. We would take turns riding Tony the Pony. I also remember playing at the TV store when it moved to it's last location, we would play in all the cardboard boxes, with no end to the imangination of what the boxes were, and the people we played. We would also play with the burnt out TV tubes and play TV repair people. Following Joe's journey since being diagnosed with PC has been a bittersweet one. My heart aching for my cousin with this diagnosis, but also an amazing story of such a strong spirited man who along with his beautiful family faced this head on to the very end. I was blessed to meet the whole family while attending Joe's mom's services, but felt like I knew them well because Aunt Helen talked about them all the time. May God bless you and keep you at this time. There are no words adequate in times like this. Love to you all. I miss you Joey, you will for ever inspire me, love your cuz, Eileen

Rebecca & girls, Joe was a classmate of mine. He never had an unkind word to say about anyone. He was a kind, caring, loving young man who always enjoyed a good joke. I remember riding the bus with Rebecca throughout our years of school. It doesn't surprise me that you both became teachers. I know without a doubt those students are very
Iucky to have shared in the life of Joe! His light will shine on forever!

I got to know Joe through high school band, where he was a talented drummer and I was a member of the flag guard and later part of the majorette squad with the love of his life, ReBecca. With his twinkling eyes, ever-present smile and warm personality, Joe was a ray of sunshine even on those chilly Pennsylvania football nights. It's not at all surprising that he built a life full of so much love and noble purpose, and it's nothing short of tragic that the monster that is cancer took him away far too soon. My condolences to his family.

I had my 9th grade Geometry class with Mr. Kutcher at Wando. His teaching made it so I actually enjoyed doing geometry proofs. He's one of my favorite math teachers I've had. I also remember working with him back stage to build some stage props for one of the musicals we did while I was taking a Stage Tech class. He always seemed to have a smile on his face and it was obvious that he loved what he did for a living.
