Jordan Randolph Obituary

Jordan Randolph WASHINGTON, DC - In loving memory, Jordan Christopher Randolph peacefully passed away on January 8, 2024 in Washington, DC. Born on July 26, 1991 in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Jordan's life was a tapestry of accomplishments, shared moments, and a profound appreciation for adventure. Baptized at WORD Ministries Christian Center in Walterboro, South Carolina, Jordan's spiritual journey began early. He graduated with honors from First Baptist Church School in Charleston, South Carolina, leaving a lasting legacy as a multi-sport athlete, excelling in both football and basketball. Notably, he played in the Georgia vs. South Carolina All-Star football Shrine Bowl and secured the high school basketball championship in 2009. Jordan earned an academic scholarship to Johns Hopkins University in 2009. Over four years, he not only played collegiate football but also contributed to the team's consecutive conference championships. Jordan was also a member of the Johns Hopkins University Chapter of the Alpha Delta Phi Literary Society.[1] In 2013, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health Studies; Health Policy and Management. Jordan was pursuing a Master's Degree in Legal Studies at The George Washington University and expected to graduate in 2024. He was an esteemed member of The George Washington University Chapter of the Lambda Epsilon Chi National Honor Society and held a paralegal certification from the American Bar Association. Professionally, Jordan contributed his talents to the law firm of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP in Washington DC, leaving an enduring mark on his colleagues and the workplace. Beyond his professional pursuits, he embraced a love for exploration, including hiking through Mexican caves, conquering the Alps in Germany, and backpacking through Poland. His final holidays were marked by memorable moments in Paris with his family for Thanksgiving and a Christmas retreat in the Dominican Republic with his significant other. Jordan's commitment to love and kindness extended to his family and vast network of friends and colleagues. He leaves behind a legacy cherished by his parents, James Lee and Betty Jean Randolph; siblings, Jamie Beth Randolph and James Brian Randolph (Brittany Brewer); significant other, Elizabeth Pratt; and a host of beloved relatives and friends. Though the void left by Jordan's departure is profound, the memories of his vibrant spirit will forever be held close. In celebration of Jordan's life, let us remember the joy he brought to our lives and the indelible mark he left on the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed. May he rest in eternal peace. The Home Going Service will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2024, 11:00 AM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 1541 Highway 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29464. He will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The Walk Thru will take place on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Randolph and Betty, there is no pain as the pain associated with the transitioning of a child. Please know that your beloved son is only a breath away and will live on in your memories and in your hearts forever. Rely on your faith to sustain you through the weeks and months ahead, knowing that "Death is the last chapter in time, but the first chapter in eternity."
