My heart goes out to the family and friends of Jack. I spent many night shifts working with him on 5 East at MUSC. He was an amazing coworker and friend. Rest in peace.

It was an honor to know and work beside Jack at MUSC for many years. He was gentle, kind hearted, and genuine. He was skilled at things like starting IVs and other clinical skills but his greatest strengths were related to his strong character. His greatest strengths were his ability to get to know every patient on a personal level, making each patient feel Ike they were the most important person, his ability to comfort others during a most difficult time, and his ability to truly listen to others and make them feel heard. Those things came so naturally to him. He was such a blessing to each of his coworker and patients and will truly be missed.

I am sorry for your loss Lauren!! I remember your Dad, as a kind caretaker of patients at MUSC. He took care of my mom when she was admitted to hospital.
