John-Paul Simmons Obituary

John-Paul Simmons ALBANY, NY - Entered into eternal rest on April 15, 2012, in Albany, New York, where he lived and worked as a folk artist for many years. He was of the Catholic faith. He is preceded by his parents, Joseph and Ruth Simmons; his wife, Dawn Langley Simmons; two brothers, Alex and Barry Simmons and dear friend Dorothy Nelson; his children, Natasha P. Simmons and Stanley B. Nelson are Charleston residents. He had 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He also had four brothers, Joseph Jr., Richard (Delores), Emmett (Ellen), and Rod; and five sisters, Marie Snipes, Dorothy Segar, Mary Goins, Mildred Simmons-Abrams (Bill) and Annette Onasanya; 125 nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews; one aunt and one uncle, Christine Fludd and Julian Snypes (Catherine), along with numerous cousins and friends left to cherish his loving memory.
