Edna and the entire Orvin family, John Orvin was a true gentleman and one of the finest and most dedicated church members I have had the privilage of knowing. I shall always remember the advise and support John offered when I was appointed to serve Bethel in 2004. I will forever be grateful for his wise counsel concerning the Bethel endowment which he and Edna initiated some years ago. Our prayers to Edna and the whole family. Blessings, John & Carol

Edna and Family:
I am so sorry to hear of John's passing..I remember many years dancing away at Arthur Murray Dance Studios with both of you and enjoyed your friendship so much. He was such a fine man and I always enjoyed talking with him and dancing with him too.
Both of you stand out in all my good memories of the years spent there and the "family" we all felt when we were together at the events there.
May you always know your friends are here and pray for God's presence be near to you in all the days ahead..he had a long and I think from his nice obituary in the paper he enjoyed it to the fullest and you have every reason to be so proud of the man he was. I shall always remember both of you with love and friendship.

Dearest Aunt Edna & family - I am heartbroken for you with Uncle John's passing. Please know that Robert and I are there with you in thought, prayer and spirit. Uncle John was a one-of-a-kind man. He was always ready with a joke or to make someone share his big boustrous laugh and always had that special twinkle in his eye. He treated us kids like we were adults, but was always ready to share some quality play time with his incredible train sets. Christmas with him and Aunt Edna was always a special occassion! They had the biggest Christmas Tree, and your gift was always perfect. Sitting at the player piano and pumping out Christmas carols after stuffing ourselves with Aunt Edna's incredible holiday goodies (especially her Huegenot Torte) with Uncle John singing the loudest will always be a treasured memory. Uncle John loved to tell the story of how he always was grateful to my father for selecting him to court and finally marry Aunt Edna. My mother told me that it was Aunt Edna and Mama Beach that taught her how to cook while Daddy and Uncle John were serving in WWII. I always admired Uncle John for his style, his manners, the gentleness, and his love of family. He was always there when you needed his advice, his guidance, or a shoulder to cry on. He was a very special man that I was proud to call my Uncle and my friend. I will miss him greatly and hold my memories of him close to my heart. God bless you Uncle John and thank you from the bottom of my heart.
