John Allen Hare ROEBUCK, SC - A memorial service for John Allen Hare will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 2:30 PM at the Episcopal Church of the Advent, 141 Advent Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302. Officiating will be The Reverend J. Edward Morris. Rite of Committal and Innichement will be held following the services in the Pergola at the Church. The family will receive friends following the services. Mr. Hare died Friday, June 23, 2017 at his home and his family was with him. He was born on November 17, 1941 in Anderson, SC, he was the son of Helen Spell Hare and Carl Allen Hare of Greenwood, SC. His parents preceded him in death as well as his stepson, Thomas Wyatt, III. Survived by his wife, Carolyn Hare of the home; his son, Joal Allen Hare (Kathryn Milne) of Spartanburg, SC; his sister, Mikal Mullikin (Bill) of Anderson, SC; his nieces, Carlette Halmer (Edmond), Lebrena Campbell (Laurence) Anderson, SC and Susan McMillin, Asheville, NC; his nephew, John Fulp (Kim), Daniel Island, SC and nephew, Todd Mullikin of Florida; his stepsons, Robert Wyatt ( Phyllis) and Chris Wyatt of Charleston, SC. The family has requested that memorial donations be made in Honor of Mr. Hare to the Advent Foundation, 141 Advent Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 and/or The Gibbs Cancer Center and Research Institute, 101 East Wood Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
