Hello, Johnny Jr., Ricky and the rest of the family. I am sorry I am late and that I did not make it to see you guys. I have been battling cancer myself since 2015 and we are in Summerville now. Mr. Doscher was very kind and supportive to me when I was going through a hard time. But Mr., Doscher, Mr. Wise, and the rest of the family always took care of his employees!

Mr Doscher was a wonderful man. Gave me my first job at his store on Rivers Ave near 10 mile hill when I was 14 years old. Worked for him for 5 years. He was always very kind and supportive.

Thank you Mr. Doscher for giving me my first job in 1970. I didn't stay in grocery but have always been grateful for the chance you gave a young teenager. You were a good example for the work ethic. Never forgot you.

Dear Tina and Ricky & Family,
I moved to the West Ashley area of Charleston in 1970 and the Doscher Grocery Stores we our mainstay. I do not think i was ever in the store that i did not see Mr. or Mrs. Doschcer working. Your mom in the office and your dad working the floor. They gave all of you a fabulous work ethic by example. I know you miss them both!

My prayers are with John Jr. and Ricky as well as the rest of the family. Mr. Doscher was one of a kind. He was a great friend and a very smart business man. He always treated customers with kindness and respect. I always looked forward to working his store. Always had a story to tell and make your day. He can now be truly happy and enjoy eternity with his loving wife whom he loved so much. I will always remember him as the best customer i ever got the pleasure to work with in my 30 plus years in the cookie business. Job well done Mr. D.

He was a great man and although not actually a relative he was my uncle Charlie's brother in law and a close friend of my late parents Arthur and Emily Mullen Guyton. He was in many family photos and stories. He was also Pallbearer at my dad's funeral. I have fond memories of oyster roasts at his house, boat rides and trips to Folly Beach.Good bye "Uncle John".
