John William Alford SUMMERVILLE - John William Alford, 86, of Summerville, SC, husband of Lenora Hyman Alford, died Tuesday, January 27, 2015. Cryptside services will be held at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Thursday afternoon, January 29, 2015 at 2 o'clock. A visitation will be held at PARKS FUNERAL HOME from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the service. Mr. Alford was born October 13, 1928 in Aynor, SC, a son of Owen and Jane Rouse Alford. He was a manager for Hunter Manufacturing in the clothing industry. He was a Military Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Lenora Hyman Alford of Summerville, SC; two step-sons, Daniel Hyman of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Thomas Hyman and wife Linda of Plymouth, MI; one step-daughter, Louanne Wickenhoefer and husband Tim of Summerville, SC; two grandchildren, Heather Krako and Jonathon Hyman; two great-grandchildren; four sisters, Ruth Collins, Addie Mae Best and husband Carl, Rachel Mishoe and husband Dwight, Bertie Butler and husband James; one brother, Paul Alford and wife Faye, all of South Carolina. He was predeceased by his parents; and two sisters, Bethany Brown and Mary Lee Register.
