The family will receive friends following the service in the Parish Hall. Bishop Gadsden residents and friends may call between 4:00 and 6:00 PM, Thursday evening, at The Mappus Card Room at Bishop Gadsden. Online condolences may be offered at www.CharlestonFunerals.com. Jean was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Frances Graham Luke and Alexander MacNaughton Luke on October 14, 1928. She was educated at Winchester-Thurston School and Pine Manor Junior College. Nancy,Gigi and family I am heartbroken over your loss. Your mom was a light unto my path in every way. We worked on many committees of St. Philips together and I was honored to share faith with her. We made further friendship when we learned both our mothers were named Frances. There was a kindred spirit I'll remember and cherish always. My love to all of you during this time.

Price and I loved your mother. We will always fondly remember her from church, visiting on Wadmalaw, and enjoying her company with friends for lunch at our cabin in the mountains. Our prayers are with you all.

With sympathy,

Louisa
