Jean Still Obituary

STILL, Jean FLORENCE, SC - Jean Flowers Still, 81, of Florence, SC, died Sunday morning, April 9, 2006, at her residence after an illness. Mrs. Still was born in Florence, SC, a daughter of the late Sidney Ransom and Penelope Goodson Flowers. She attended the McLeod Infirmary School of Nursing and attended the Florence Bible Chapel. She lived a life of honor, Faith and Devotion to her family and to her Lord. She was preceded in death by husband, Harry Velpo Still and by a devoted son-in-law, Jerry Russell. Surviving are three daughters, Harriet McIntosh and her husband, Irwin, of Kingstree, SC, Patsy Austell and her husband, Tom, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Susan S. Russell of Florence; three grandsons, Thomas William Austell, Jr., of Atlanta, Ga., Atwood Irwin McIntosh, Jr., and his wife, Sarah, of Kingstree, SC, and William Still McIntosh and his wife Renee, of Sumter, SC; two great-grandsons, William Still McIntosh, Jr. and Donald Irwin William McIntosh both of Sumter, SC. Graveside services were held Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at Mt. Hope Cemetery directed by STOUDENMIRE-DOWLING FUNERAL HOME. The family received friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Monday, at the funeral home and other times at the residence of Mrs. Susan Russell, 1158 Brunwood Drive, Florence, SC. Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of the Church at Sandhurst, 1140 Third Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505 or to the McLeod Hospice, 555 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
