James Sineath Obituary

James Everette "Jim" Sineath, Jr. ST. GEORGE, SC - James Everette "Jim" Sineath, Jr., 91, of 102 Dorchester Lane, St. George, husband of Evelyn I. Sineath, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at The Regional Medical Center of Orangeburg. Funeral Services will be held on 2:00 PM Monday, November 3, 2014 at Memorial Baptist Church with the Reverend Dr. Clay Shook officiating. Burial will follow in the St. George Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Pete Bazzle, Derrill Marchant, Danny Dukes, Frank James, Carroll McAlhaney and Eddie Patrick. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 3:00-5:00 PM at Bryant Funeral Home, St. George. Jim was born on February 12, 1923 in St. George, son of the late James Everette and Marie Anna Dukes Sineath. He was a faithful member of Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon. He was the treasurer of the Wilson Patrick Sunday School class for many years and director for the training union. He served in the US Army during WWII as a staff Sergeant from 1943 to 1946. He fought in Battle of the Bulge and received the American Theater Service medal, EAME Service Sedal with three Bronze Service Stars, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He retired from the Naval Weapons Station in Charleston after 32 years of service. He was a member of the Lions Club, American Legion, Mason and past member of the Business Men's Club. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved God, his family and his country. He was an avid fisherman that enjoyed fishing in the Edisto River. He was predeceased by his brothers, William D. Sineath, Ray A. Sineath and Tommy S. Sineath. Surviving are his wife of 66 years, Evelyn Infinger Sineath; two daughters, Linda (Kenny) Gray, Cameron, Jane (Moody) Oswald, Gilbert; four grandchildren, Stacy (Jason) Smith, Gilbert, Kelly (Dag) Gartman, Orangeburg, Kevin (Kristin) Binnicker, Gilbert, Macky Gray; eight great-grandchildren, Chelsie Smith, Tori Smith, Jason Smith, Courtney Kirby, Grayce Gartman, Chad Gartman, Weston Gartman, Zack Gray, K.J.
