To the family of my friend Jimmy, Im deeply sorry for the great loss. As many know, Jimmy was a fine man, and I will miss my friend. We shared the same birthday, and Id like to think the same outlook on family, and the other things that mean so much here on earth. Thank you to my lifelong friend Joe for the introduction all those years ago!! And to the children of Jimmy, your right, he was a damn fine father/man.

I just found out about Jimmy today after talking to my mom on the phone. Jimmy and I were close friends through childhood, growing up in the village. Kinda lost touch untill a few years ago when I met him again in Hanahan. My sympathies to his family. and my love.

I met Jim through work earlier this year. As far as first impressions go I could tell he was a hard-working and diligent man. In each conversation we had I could sense his determination to get things done and get them done right. I never knew him personally but I would venture to guess that his hard-working attitude wasn't left at work each night. He will be missed.

Jimmy was a great guy. I very much enjoyed working with him. He will be missed by me as well as, I'm sure, by all of his fellow co-workers.

On behalf of the Hanahan Recreation Dept and myself, we are so sorry to hear of Jimmy's passing. He was a great coach and volunteer of our Dept. He was a coach that I could count on back when his children were in the youth programs and even after his kids were grown I knew if I needed a coach he would have been there. He will be sadly missed. I would have attended the funeral services but I did not know of his passing until I got into work this morning. If the family needs anything please call us at the rec. dept.

Mrs. Oglesby, I am so sorry for your loss. My life is filled with so many wonderful memories with Jimmy and your family. As a child your family filled a great empty space in my life. I am truly grateful I had a chance to be involve with him. He was a true friend and never turned his back away from me. I will miss him and never forget the great times we had together. I am sorry I cannot be there at the funeral I am curently in Afganistan and will be here for another 12 months. I will definately make time to come see you when I get back in Charleston. Love and miss you very much. Randy Kinard

Jimmy was a REALLY nice guy. My brother told me of his passing. I was shocked. Though we didn't socialize much, I cared for and respected him. He was a passionate coach for years in Hanahan youth sports, trying his best to show our kids how to play the games and also to be upstanding citizens. I sure wish I'd have had the chance to say goodbye. I love you Jimmy, and God bless to your family. Sincerely, Bo
