James Kinsey Obituary

KINSEY, James James Clinton Kinsey, 83, of Atomic Road, Jackson, SC, husband of the late Annie Lou Metts Kinsey, passed away at home after a short illness, Tuesday, August 5, 2008. Mr. Kinsey was born April 15, 1925, in Bamberg, SC, the son of the late Mittie Linder Kinsey and the late Mazon Kinsey. He was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church and was a machinist who retired with over 20 years service from Georgia Iron Works, Grovetown, Ga. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, and his John Deere lawn tractor. He rode it like his car to visit friends. He also enjoyed as a hobby the lottery scratch offs that he often shared with friends at a local convenience store. Funeral services will be Friday, August 8, 2008, at 11:00 a.m., in the COONER FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, with Rev. Ken Phelps officiating. Burial to follow in South End Cemetery. Survivors include four sons, James Michael (Patricia Ann) Kinsey from Jackson, SC, William Clinton Kinsey from Charleston, SC, Mark Kenneth (Jennifer) Kinsey of Charleston, SC, Jerry Glenn Kinsey of Charleston, SC; one daughter, Pamela Ann Kinsey of Canton, NC; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Visitation will be one hour before the funeral, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday morning, August 8, 2008. Visit our guestbook at www.charleston.net/deaths.
