Jack Paul Guerry
Hanahan - Jack Paul Guerry, 91, of Hanahan, South Carolina, husband of Wilma Frances Hodge Guerry entered into eternal rest Friday, December 12, 2025. His Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 27, 2025 in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 11:30 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Jack was born August 1, 1934 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Solomon Lee Guerry and the late Mary Julia Carter Guerry. He was a long time member of Highland Park Baptist Church. He retired from the Charleston Naval Weapons Station.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Paula G. Hooper (Larry) of Hanahan, SC, and Marie Lynn Sherill (Scott) of Satellite Beach, FL; sister, Betty Lou G. Gresham of Greenville, SC; three grandchildren; Julie, Anderson, Mary; and four great-grandchildren, Sam, Jack, Anders, Bailey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters: Dorothy Infinger, Annette MacEwen, and Mary Lee Brooks; and brother, Solomon Lee Guerry.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital 1650 W 82nd St., Suite 400, Minneapolis, MN 55431 and/or Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
