My thoughts & prayers go out to the Family of Ivan. Although I did not know Ivan personally, I know his Father, Leon, from when he had the Leon's Body Shop in Charleston.

I don't know if my first post came through (sorry if this is a duplication), but as I sit here with my eyes welling up. I would like to say thanks to God and Ivan's family for sharing him with us. I went to school with Ivan from the time we were at James Simons Elementary School, to Rivers Middle, and finally Burke High. I considered Ivan a good friend, and although as time passed, and we went in separate directions, being able to call him a friend has been invaluable. We are having our 25th High School Reunion this year and his presence definitely will be missed. I am truly saddened and my thoughts and prayers are with the family during these tough times!!!

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. I went to school with Ivan for a number of years, since we were young children, through High School. This is truly a shock and although we have not had a lot of contact with one another in the recent years, I still consider him a friend. Ivan was my barber for the past year. I thought he was very nice and interesting to talk to. The last time I spoke to Ivan was May 10 when he did my eyes, we were just reflecting on the past on how things use to be and how good it was back in the days. I told Ivan I may be back Saturday to get some movies from him,but did not make it. I came in Monday to see him at the barber shop only to find out that he passed away. I was so sorry to hear that happen for him, his children, and wife. I will miss seeing his face at the barber. Hopefully Ivan is with the Lord know. God bless the Ravenell family
