Isaac Singleton

Mt. Pleasant - Mr. Isaac Singleton, "Iky", 87, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, husband of Mrs. Hattie B. Singleton, and son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin and Rena Singleton, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at a local hospital.

Mr. Singleton leaves to cherish his memories are his loving children: Ray Anthony Robinson (Mindy), Cedric Singleton (Jacquelyn), Cora D. Knowlin, Donna M. Johnson and Benjamin Z. Singleton; adopted daughter, Roberta Huger; grandchildren" Tiffany Bell, Tarnika Faye (Basse), Lawrence Singleton, Gregory Singleton, Christopher Singleton (Bridget), Captain Jonathan Singleton (Latesha M.), Glenn Singleton, Ebony S. Knowlin, Cleveland R. Knowlin, Christova P. Knowlin, Jamilah Johnson-Garrett (Darnell), Donta' Gregg, and Avery M. Singleton, Sr.; twenty-two great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, close cousins" Christopher Major, Jr. (Sondra), Rev. Isaac Grant (Earline Doris), Barbara Parrott (Calvin Deceased), Sarah Hammond and Janie Newman; brother and sister-in-laws: Patricia Washington (James, Sr.), James Ellis (Teresa), Moses Ellis, Sr. (Carolyn), Anthony Ellis Sr., Sharon Nesbitt (Michael), and Alice Ellis; his spiritual father, Rev. Dr. George Flowers (Phoenicia) along with a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by one son, Darnell B. Singleton; grandchildren; Baby Christina Johnson and Joshua Singleton; father and mother-in law, Willie and Cora Lee Ellis, Sr.; his aunts and uncles, Marthalee Ellis-Grant (Fred, Sr.), Florence Major (Christopher, Sr.), Isabella Davis (James, Sr.) and Lawrence Ellis, Jr.; brothers-in law, Willie Ellis, Sr., Charles Ellis and Bernard Ellis.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Singleton will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 12:00 Noon in Greater Goodwill African American Episcopal Church, 2818 N. Highway 17, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466. Mr. Singleton will be laid to rest with military honors in Long Point Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation with the family will be held on this evening, January 26, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Long Point Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1857 Snowden Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. A Family and Friends Reception will follow from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at 1777-B Snowden Road, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
