Ida Sheppard Obituary

Ida Mae Sheppard HANAHAN - Ida Mae Sheppard, age 81, of Hanahan, SC, entered into eternal rest on Friday, June 21, 2013 at a local hospital. She was born in Colleton County to the late Aaron C. Rentz and Alma Belger Rentz. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an avid gardener and a great cook. She was a member of Ferndale Baptist Church, North Charleston. Mrs. Sheppard is survived by her daughter: Donna Sheppard-Smith (John); granddaughter: Rachel Smith; step sons: William Sheppard, Jr. (Patsy), Kenney Sheppard (Dot), Larry Sheppard (Cindy), Glen Sheppard (Nancy) and Michael Sheppard; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; sisters: Louvenia Craven and Peggy Fergerson. She was preceded in death by her husband: William J. Sheppard. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC, 29406. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 22 2013 at the funeral home.
