Homer "Buster" Altine, Jr. Charleston - Homer Buster Altine, Jr., "Papou", 78, of Charleston and husband of Sigrid H. Altine, passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018. Buster was born on September 10, 1939 in Charleston, SC to the late Homer B. Altine, Sr. and Edna Altine. He served his country in the US Air Force and was a supervisor and general manager of Triple S Trophies. Buster was an avid fisherman and enjoyed hunting but most important to him was spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, survivors include his children, Lisa Altine (Dale), Roddy Altine, Beth Altine Thomas (John), Lil Buster (Tricia) Altine, Laura Stone (Andy) and Nicholas Altine (Gretchen); 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; and his sister, Silvia A. Mock. He also leaves behind his beloved yellow lab Rhett and his cat Trouble. Buster's family will receive friends from 12-2 PM on Friday, February 2, 2018 at the McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, WEST ASHLEY, 2501 Bees Ferry Road, Charleston, SC 29414 where his Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at 2 PM.
