JONES, Herbert Entered into eternal rest the evening of January 7, 2006, Herbert Jones, husband of Ruth McIntyre Jones. Residence, North Charleston, South Carolina. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Jones are invited to attend the Funeral Services of the former in Cooper River Baptist Church, Wednesday afternoon, January 11, 2006 at two o'clock. Entombment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTH AREA CHAPEL (2119 Dorchester Road), Tuesday evening, January 10, 2006 from six until eight o'clock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2070 Northbrook Blvd., Suite B-1, North Charleston, SC 29406. Mr. Jones was born May 9, 1918 in Anderson, South Carolina, son of the late Luther and Laura Turner Jones. He was a member of Cooper River Baptist Church and was a retired Supervisor with the Charleston Naval Shipyard, Paint Shop# 07. Surviving Mr. Jones is his wife of 66 years of North Charleston; four daughters, Laura Funkhouser and husband Herbie of Richmond VA, Janet Mobley and husband Jim of Bluesprings, MO, Theresa Davis and husband Teddy of North Charleston, SC, Diane Walling and husband Johnny of Hanahan, SC; a son, Herbert David Jones and wife June of Edmond, OK; eleven grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Jones. The family expresses sincere appreciation for special caregivers, Merla Oliver, Janet Owens and Rosetta Parker.
