I'm sorry for the loss of your father, Mr. Freudenberg. I met him in 1997 when he helped me right after my husband passed away. He was a decent caring and kind person. May he rest in peace.

Mr. Freudenberg used to come into Hanchey Jewelers. All of the staff looked forward to his visits. He was a true gentleman and I will miss his visits. My sincere condolences to his family.

I never knew Henry but heard all about him from Nancy, who worked with me in Atlanta in the '80's. From her I learned what a wonderful man he was, and I am sorry we never met. We live on through our children, and our children's children, and my respect and affection for Nancy says a lot about what kind of person he was, and his influence in the world. I know that he leaves a legacy that will not be forgotten.

Dear Nancy, Lynn and Larry,
My condolences to you and your family on the death of your father. He was a pillar of the Charleston community and the synagogue. He, your mom and grandmother were all oart of my thoughts about what Charleston meant to me during my many years away. Sincere wishes from all of the Furchgotts to each of you. David Furchgott

My mother, Eleanor, worked for many years for Mr. Freudenberg at T&S. She held him in the highest regard, and, if she were alive, would have sent her respects and praised his generosity.
