Hal Washington Obituary

My family wishes the entire Washington family peace and warm memories of Mr. Washington. We new him from Gilligan's and always had a pleasant time.

As I reflect on the memories of Mr. Hal, I am reminded of all the gatherings that we were delighted to have him attend. For many years, Mr. Hal has spent Thanksgiving with our family. I know that we will miss him at our table this year and for many years to come. May God embrace this wonderful man and comfort the family during this extremely difficult time.

My sincere condolences are extended to Hal´s family. We attended Rivers High School at the same time. Hal was a gentleman´s gentleman, seemingly much more mature than his age. Though I´ve not been in his presence for many years, memories of him are clear. May God´s peace which passeth all understanding be with Hal´s family and friends.

Hal was a hard nut to Crack, but that was easy for me. He was a man who walked with confidence and did not put up with any crap.
He was definitely someone I will always admire and has my ultimate respect. He didn't call me his "adopted white daughter " for nothing. I grew up right down the street and went to school with his wonderful step daughters. (I say step i do believe he saw the girls as his own).
We work at Gilligans together for many years. Hes always been family to me. He will be so insanely missed. Love you my adopted blk daddy( as he would call himself to me). He definitely was a father figure and will always be a staple in my life.
