Geraldine Garrett Moncks Corner - Geraldine Mallard Garrett, 76, of Moncks Corner, SC, a retired caregiver with the First Baptist Church Daycare, Moncks Corner, died Tuesday morning, October 16, 2018, at her residence. Her funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday afternoon, October 19, 2018, in the Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church. Interment, directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church this Thursday evening, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to the MUSC Foundation in support of the Transplant Living Doror Fund, 18 Bee Street, MSC 450, Charleston, SC 29425. Mrs. Garrett was born January 11, 1942, in Cross, SC, a daughter of Daniel Lee Mallard and Laura Ann Weatherford Mallard. For the past 53 years she was a member of the Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church where she was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, the choir, and the Monday night prayer group. She was also a member of the Red Hat Ladies, enjoyed attending church, reading and studying her bible, walking and flower gardening. She especially enjoyed family dinners and spending time with her family. Mrs. Garrett was predeceased by a grandson, Travis Garrett; a granddaughter, Jennifer Bradwell; a sister, Barbara Ann Williams; and two brothers, Jimmy Mallard and Wesley Mallard. Surviving are her husband, Lewis E. Garrett; two daughters, Donna Lewis and her husband Mike of Bonneau and Rita Soderberg and her husband Tony of St. Stephen; a son, Rev. Paul Garrett and his wife Susie of Moncks Corner; a sister, Gertrude Mims of Cross; five grandchildren, David Bradwell and his wife Brittany, Amber Bishop and her husband Chad, Kristen Petersen and her husband Mat, Kyle Lewis and his wife Anna, and Tyler Garrett; and nine great-grandchildren.
