Gerald Edward King GOOSE CREEK - Gerald Edward King, 67, Goose Creek, SC passed away Monday, March 18, 2013. Jerry was born on August 13, 1945 in Flushing, NY son of the late Francis King, his father and Helen King, his mother who resides in Port Richey. He attended Ralph J. Osgood High School in Kings Park and played football and basketball, the sport that earned him the nickname "jingles". After high school Jerry joined the Navy and was able to see the world and capture memories that would last him a lifetime. Returning home he married his high school sweetheart, Barbara doll and lived on Long Island until 2003 when they moved to South Carolina. Jerry worked at Pan American Airlines for over 20 years and retired from the Kings Park school district. Jerry always made people laugh and had an easy sense about him. Letting others worry about the little things in life while he enjoyed living it. Survivors include his daughters, Nora Caporale and Carley King, son-in-law, Bob Caporale; grandchildren, Nicholas and Brianna Caporale; mother, Helen King; sister, Mary Richards and sister-in-law, Laura Doll. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at 11:30 am at Michels & Lundquist Funeral Home in New Port Richey.
