Gerald L. Dennis JOHNS ISLAND - Mr. Gerald L. Dennis, 77, of Johns Island, SC, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 28, 2025. Mr. Dennis leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Sylvia Dennis; mother-in-law, Emma Gadsden; loving children: Shauntay Dunning (Jeremy) and Jessie Brown, II; grandchildren: Shiann, Jaiden, Ayanna, Kingston, and Karter Dunning; sister, Rev. Joann Fields; brothers-in-law: Harry Gadsden & family, Harold Gadsden & family, Lugman Rasheed (Ajeenah) & family, Johnny Gadsden & family, and Steven Gadsden (Samantha) & family; nieces: Robin Tyus, Nahkia Echols (Andre) and Monicanne Lee (Travis); nephew, Gerald O. Fields; cousins: David Ferguson (Carmen) and Joyce Bryan; and a host of grandnieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mamie Dennis. Mr. Dennis was a Retired Postman of 42 years. The family of Mr. Dennis will Celebrate his Life with a service on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Smith-McNeal Funeral Chapel, 2119 Dorchester Rd., North Charleston, SC 29405.
