George Borja Obituary

BORJA, George George Borja, 60, died Friday, June 23, 2006 at his home in Goose Creek, SC. Born September 26, 1945 in Guam, he was the son of George Douglas Kline and Catalina Castro Borja. In 1969 he became a Merchant Mariner, and later was a firefighter in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. As a former resident of the State of Washington for 12 years he was employed with the US Postal Service. He moved to Goose Creek in 1994. George and his happy go-lucky spirit will be deeply missed by his four children: Kathy Borja Seco of Goose Creek, SC, Gregory Borja, Sonny Borja and Daisy Ruiz, all of the State of Washington, three sisters: Doris Nesmith of Charleston, SC, Mary Nededog and Thelma Espirtu, both of Guam, and thirteen grandchildren. The Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00PM Saturday, July 1, 2006 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Ave., Goose Creek. Immediately following the Mass, his family will receive friends until 4:00PM at McAlister-Smith Funeral Home, 100 S. Goose Creek Blvd., Goose Creek.
