Fred was a great friend and neighbor. We have fond memories of his post-holiday "Survivors" parties back in the days when Oklahoma was usually playing in one of the major bowl games. Our deepest sympathies for Jeanie and for Freddie and his family.

I worked with Fred at the SC Commission on Higher Education for about 7 years. He was a pleasure to know and to work with. He always had a kind word for others and Oreos for the taking :) He was a good, honorable man who loved his family and his country. I will always remember the lively political debates between him and his "yellow dog Democrat" coworker, Joe Pendergrass. What a hoot! I am praying for your family as you grieve your loss in the days to come.
