Foley Guyton Obituary

Foley Guyton SUMMERVILLE - Foley Guyton, of Summerville, husband of Medra Ivadean Guyton, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2013, surrounded by his family. Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 6 - 8 o'clock at Parks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 1 o'clock at Parks Funeral Home Chapel, followed by burial at Plantation Memorial Gardens. The family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 409 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403 or The Church of God, 115 Farm Road, Summerville, SC 29483. Foley was born April 14, 1932 to the late Otto S. and Fannie Guyton. He was a US Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He was also a retired employee of 26 years at the Coca Cola Bottling Company and also worked at Crews Chevrolet. He attended The Church of God in Summerville. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and his beloved four -legged friend, Precious. Foley is preceded in death by his brother Hubert Guyton and his sisters, Ruby Cox, Cecilia Clark and Mary Guyton, all of Conway. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Medra Guyton; his daughter Brenda Guyton; his sons Jimmie Guyton (Donna), Donald Guyton (Donna) Robert Guyton (Billie Jo), and Lloyd "Bubba" Guyton (Monica), all of Summerville; his grandchildren, Fallon Guyton Campbell (Casey) of Houston, TX, Amber Guyton of New York City, NY, Ashli Guyton, Brittney Guyton, Lindsey Guyton, Chelsea Guyton, Travis Douglas, Justin Douglas, all of Summerville, Dana Jacobs (William) of Knoxville, TN; his great-grandchildren, Alexis Clark, Allison Clark of Summerville and Noah Jacobs of Knoxville; and his sisters Winnie Hooks of Conway, SC, Lacy Lewman (John) of Marietta, GA.
