Florence Kiser Obituary

KISER, FLorence ASHEBORO, NC - Mrs. Florence Marie Brown Kiser, 74, of 3332 Staley's Farm Road, Asheboro, NC, died Thursday, November 27, 2008, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008, at Flag Springs United Methodist Church with the Rev. Billy Jarrett and the Rev. Thomas Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Kiser was born on June 22, 1934, the daughter of the late Jesse and Nettie Newsom Brown. She was retired from Black & Decker and was an active member of Flag Springs United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her sister, Allene Martin, her brothers, Edwin Brown, Eugene Brown and her grandson, Jason Kiser. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Coy A. Kiser, of the home; daughter, Tami Reeder and husband, David, of Asheboro; sons, Gregg Kiser and wife, Erma, of Asheboro, Roger Kiser and wife, Delia, of Goose Creek, SC; sisters, Jewel Lucas and husband, Joe, Pearl Goins and husband, Elmer, Gladys Nance, all of Asheboro; brothers, Raiford Brown, Earl Brown and wife, Thelma, all of Asheboro, Cline Brown and wife, Nancy, of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Todd Kiser, Stephanie Spencer and husband, Todd, Allen Reeder, Amy Phillips and husband, Chad, Allison Kiser; great grandchildren, Payton Kiser, Stephen Spencer, and Kayla Spencer. The family will receive friends at RIDGE FUNERAL HOME from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 29, 2008, and other times at the home. Memorials may be made to Flag Springs United Methodist Church, Building Fund, 5852 Zoo Parkway, Asheboro, NC 27205. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home for their exceptional care shown for Mrs. Kiser.
