Everett Curry Obituary

CURRY, Everett BRUNSON, S.C. - Everett S. Curry, of 656 N. Railroad Ave., a retired Elementary Principal and schoolteacher, died Thursday at Oakwood Health Care Center in Walterboro, SC. He was 72. Mr. Curry was born April 11, 1933, in Rock Camp, OH, a son of the late John Lee Curry and Mae Ooten Curry. He received his BA from Rio Grande College in Rio Grande, OH, and his MA from Marshall University in Huntington, WV. He was a lifetime member of the National Education Association and the Ohio Education Association. He was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Hampton, SC. Surviving are: his former wife and mother of his children, Elbertie Newman Curry-Moran of Ruffin, SC, two sons and daughters-in-law, Randall L. and Michelle Curry of Marion, OH and Bradley L. and Carol Curry of Caledonia, OH, three grandsons, five step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Chester L. Curry and Carl A. Curry, preceded him in death. Graveside services in Woodland Cemetery in Ironton, OH will be announced later.
