I will never forget the influence she had on my life at St. Andrews High School. I graduated in 1963 but always remembered her witness of God´s love. A life well lived and loved. Robbie King Staubes

Thinking of you during this difficult time and knowing that God is watching over your mom. What a legacy she left for family, friends, and educators. God bless, David.

I have fond memories of Eva Lou. She was gracious, fun, and excelled in everything she did. One of her favorite Scriptures has been mine since childhood. In the mid '50's, Morrow Costa, Philip Higdon, and Billy Lee all lived in Pierpont. They took turns getting their father's car to triple-
date. I recall winning a cake at a sock hop and the 6 of us driving to Bootle's drive-in where each of us girls got a slice of that cake and the boys devoured the rest! The last time I saw Eva Lou was Nov. 2018.
I'm looking forward to seeing her again!

Everyone at St. Andrews Parish High School knew and loved Mrs. Costa as a kind and loving teacher and leader. She wad compassionate and fair with all and will be missed.

Eva Lou was indeed a special person. I enjoyed time with her and basketball teams in the mid 1950s.

Memory: Without Eva at Winthrop there probably would not have been a Millie Higdon. When Morrow returned from the the Air Force he came to CLEMSON en route to visit Eva but needed someone to double date. Millie and I were that date and that was the spark that reunited us forever. Eva and I were friends before that and she has continued to be since.

I got to know Mrs Costa at St Andrews High school when I tried out for the varsity basketball team. She was so gracious and supportive of everyone - a true legend at St Andrews! And then I had the good fortune to see her and reconnect with her at Indigo Hall where she was a resident. She came to every one of my shows there - I knew her immediately and she was always so elegantly dressed and so sweet. I will miss her smiling face. She touched everyone at St Andrews in so many ways - and I reminded her of that every time I saw her. Prayers for her family - you are all in my thoughts.
