Eunice Rang Obituary

Eunice Rang GREENWOOD, IN - Eunice Mae (Lackey) Rang passed from this earth into life everlasting with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 101 years old on April 14, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana. She was born August 18, 1923, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Growing up on a farm in the Upper Peninsula, Eunice was the youngest of ten children. In her 20s, she moved to Chicago, where she met her future husband, Ray. Eunice raised their two children while working in her community. She enjoyed many years living in Florida after Ray's retirement. After Ray's passing in 1991, she moved to be closer to her daughter's family in South Carolina where she spent the last 32 years. Eunice was the wife of Raymond William Rang and the mother of Roxane (Rang) Kneeland and Raymond Rang. Eunice was most proud of her family, which included two children, three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and her first great-great-grandchild soon to be born in September of 2025. Eunice lived a full life loving her Lord, her family and her friends. Spending quality time with others brought her great joy. She loved traveling, playing cards & games as well as enjoying chocolate milkshakes. Her laughter and smile filled a room. She was a positive, energetic force of nature until her very last days. She is dearly missed. She is survived by her children: Roxane (John) Kneeland and Raymond Rang, her grandchildren Michelle (Rich) Miller, Jason (Stephanie) Kneeland, and Rae-Ann (Chris) Gergen and her great- grandchildren: Hunter (Andrea) Miller, Reilly Miller, Kelsey (Nate) Stryker, John Kneeland, Jacob Gergen, Claire Kneeland, Conwell Miller and Chloe Miller. She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Annie and siblings. Her memorial is scheduled for Thursday, June 26, at Crown Hill National Cemetery at 10:00am.

Dear Friends,

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Eunice's passing. She was such a sweet lady who truly loved the Lord and her family with all her heart. Thinking of her brings a smile to my face. Precious is the word that comes to mind when I think of her. I know you will miss her. But, I know it is for a short time since you will be reunited with her one day when the Lord calls you Home. What a grand reunion! Love and prayers, Ruthie

Ray,
I´m so sorry for your loss. Your mom lived a great life. I always enjoyed hearing you tell stories about visiting her. Playing golf and riding on the back of your motorcycle.
The pictures from her 100th birthday celebration were amazing .
My sincere condolences to you and the entire Rang family.
