Eric Driggers Obituary

Eric Driggers Gastonia, NC - Arthur Eric Driggers, 50, died unexpectedly at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC, on September 28, 2017, following a long illness. Eric is survived by his son, Zachary; his step-son, Cameron (Courtney) Black; two step-grandchildren, Leighton and Gideon; his mother, Judith Rodgers Driggers; two brothers, Anthony (Darlene) and Alan; a sister, Amber; his father, Harlan Lewis Driggers; his aunts, Pat, Mona and Sarah Lynn; his uncles, Joseph Rudd and Linwood Thornhill; his nephew Ryan (Lii) and their son Rylii; his niece, Taylor (Kyle), and their son, Ellis; many cousins and friends too numerous to mention; and also two very special ladies, Nell and Hattie Williams, who were influential in his growth and development. Eric was born November 28,1966, at Berkeley County Hospital in Moncks Corner, SC. He attended George Fishburne Elementary School in Hanahan, SC, and Lord Berkeley Academy in Moncks Corner, SC, before his mother and siblings moved to Florence, SC, where he continued school and graduated from South Florence High School in 1985. In 1986, he moved to Gastonia, NC, where he established his home and began his family. Mr. Driggers was currently working for Mondelez International. He was very outgoing and gregarious and had a heart as big as he was. He "never met a stranger" and gave all he had to better someone else's condition. He had the wonderful gift of making people laugh and enjoy life, therefore his untimely death leaves the world a little darker and much sadder. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER, SC, on Saturday October 7, 2017.
