Elizabeth Sparks Leonard CHARLESTON - Elizabeth Sparks Leonard, 99, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Carman Gratton Leonard entered into eternal rest Sunday, October 13, 2013. Her Graveside Service will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013, in Holy Cross Cemetery, 604 Fort Johnson Road at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL. Elizabeth was born March 11, 1914, in Anderson, SC, daughter of Charles Sparks and Alethea Sullivan Sparks. She attended Converse College and earned her Bachelor's Degree from Lander College and she was a retired medical technologist. Elizabeth was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church, James Island, SC. She was a loving mother and caring grandmother. She is survived by three daughters, Carolyn L. Grace (Ken) of Charleston, SC and Anne L. Beck (Charlie) of Hollywood, SC and Margaret L. Epstein (Murry) of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Charles A. Beck, III, Kenneth B. Grace, III, David J. Grace all of Charleston, SC, Allison E. Moore (Garrett), Norcross, GA and Daniel L. Epstein (Rebecca), Memphis TN; and one great-grandchild, Kendi Lee Moore.
