Elisa "Dicksie" Dickson Tunno MT. PLEASANT - Elisa "Dicksie" Dickson Tunno, 60, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, December 8, 2022. Her funeral service will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 in East Cooper Baptist Church, 361 Egypt Road at 10:00 a.m. A private burial will be held in Saint James Episcopal Churchyard. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel. Dicksie was born on July 27, 1962 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, daughter of Elisa Ott Tunno and the late William Miles Tunno. She grew up in El Paso, TX, where she attended Loretta Academy and Coronado High School. She graduated from Texas Christian University with a degree in fashion merchandising. Dicksie is survived by her mother, Elisa of Charleston, SC; two sisters: Marian Tunno Grace (Pete) of San Angelo, TX and Julia Tunno Denegri (Chris) of Collierville, TN; and brother, William Miles Tunno, Jr. (Velma) of Corrales, NM; nieces and nephews: Lauren Grace McCarthy (Mike), Daniel Colby Grace, Justin Santaguida, Joel Santaguida (Haley), Andrew Tunno, Maria Tunno-Cohen (Spencer), Anthony Denegri, Allison Denegri, and Alyssa Denegri. Dicksie was a very loving aunt to all of her nieces and nephews. She loved animals and gave generously of her time to various charitable organizations. She was very active in her church and her women's bible study group. Dicksie was a very generous person and was willing to give her time to help others. She loved God and had unwavering faith. Dicksie will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
