Elbert Harvey SUMMERVILLE - Mr. Elbert Dewitt Harvey, 78, of Summerville, met his Heavenly Father on the morning of December 5, 2011 at Trident Medical Center. A memorial service for the family will be held at a later date. Memorials may be given to the New Hope United Methodist Church, 1236 Jedburg Rd., Summerville, SC 29483. Mr. Harvey was born May 6, 1933 in Berkley County. He attended Berkley County Schools. He served in the Army. He was the son of the late Lala B. Harvey and Charles Ney Harvey. Survivors include two brothers, Walter R. Harvey of Summerville, and Theodore C. Harvey of Effingham, and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Harvey was predeceased by two loving sisters, Margaret Griffis and Lena Smith, and two brothers Charles N. Harvey and Benard Harvey.
