Edna Grant Obituary

Edna T. Grant N. CHARLESTON - Edna T. Grant, 92, of North Charleston, passed away April 14, 2012. Born in Chesterfield, SC, she was the daughter of the late Festus Milton and Willie Grant Talbert and widow of Herbert S. Grant, Jr., who passed away in 1974. She was a faithful member of Doorway Baptist Church, where she enjoyed working many years with children until her health declined. She is survived by her daughter, Mary G. Roberts and husband Jerry of Goose Creek, granddaughter, Bonnie Vogler of Ladson, grandson, Dean Roberts of Boone, NC, brother, Tyson Tolbert of Newport News, VA. Mrs. Grant was predeceased by her grandson, Jimmy Roberts. Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in MCALISTER-SMITH FUNERAL HOME, GOOSE CREEK CHAPEL, 869 St. James Avenue. The family will receive friends prior to service from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations can be made to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412. Mary Lynn and family, We are so sorry for your loss but have many good memories of your mother during our childhood at Dorway church. She took care of many of us (and our children) when we were nursery age. We are unable to attend the funeral today but you are in our thoughts and prayers.
