Donna Feeley Obituary

Donna Ryan Feeley CHARLESTON - Donna Ryan Feeley, 79, of Charleston, SC, passed away peacefully, on February, 23, 2022 near her son's home in Jupiter, FL. Donna was a most beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Feeley, to whom she shared a love, marriage and family for 53 years. Born on July 18, 1943 in Springfield, MA, she was the daughter of the late Donald E. and Gertrude Ryan of West Peabody, MA. After spending much of her youth on the North Shore of MA, she continued her education at Westbrook College, where she was named Winter Carnival Queen. Donna married the love of her life, "Bobby" Feeley, Feb. 26, 1966 and together they made their first home in South Florida. Mrs. Feeley's (Donna's) home was always filled with the neighborhood children, friends and family. Her home was welcoming and always open to everyone. Donna was a mother to all and spent many of her days driving someone to practice, keeping score at Jr. golf or feeding the neighborhood. She enjoyed spending time with her parents and was a dedicated daughter-in-law. She had a gift for making everyone feel welcomed and a wonderful sense of humor. In later years, she entered the real estate arena, working for PA Lethbridge in Plantation, but nothing was more important to her than her grandchildren, Tyler, Meagan, Cash and Jax. Donna is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Feeley, daughter, Cindy and her husband, Michael L. Kimbrell of Mt. Pleasant and their two children, Tyler and Meagan Kimbrell. Son, Robert and his wife, Gail Feeley and their children, Cash Martin and Robert Jax of Jupiter FL. Her sister, Karen "Kacey" Bogue and brother, Donald Ryan, Jr. Donna will be laid to rest next to her "Bobby" and will be joining her parents and sister, Ann Susan Ryan, SND in eternity. When Donna entered a room it was as if Audrey Hepburn herself had done so. While Big Bob was larger than life, Donna´s elegance and grace could not go unnoticed. Her warm, giving heart, her laughter, the stories she shared will be fondly remembered. She loved our family (especially our kids) as if we were Perez-Feeleys. Such a beautiful soul will be so very missed. Rest In peace with your Bobby, Donna.

We offer our prayers of peace for the Feeley family, at this time. We will miss being with the family during today´s chapel service. We enjoyed being a part of many family celebrations in the Charleston area. One recent time was this past December when we learned my parents were going to be Grandparents, again. We will certainly miss her.

It is so refreshing to hear that there are still people like Donna in this world; so unselfish and generous. She must have slept peacefully during her lifetime. This reminds me of an ancient proverb: "Sweet is the sleep of the one serving, whether he eats little or much." (King Solomon-Ecclesiastes 5:12). May you all maintain fond memories of this precious soul.

I am so sad to learn of Donna's passing. I've been friends with Bob and Donna since High School. She was a wonderful and caring person; and the foundation of the family. There is comfort in knowing that she is joining Bob in heaven for all eternity.

Dear family of Donna E. Feeley. First of all, my heartfelt condolences with the loss of Donna, your dear one!
She was so loved, that was clear from the look in everyone´s eyes as they greeted her. Always with a warm smile and a big hug, she did not meet a stranger ever. When we met we had an instant liking for each other, our children got engaged and we connected in values, in love and our ways of looking at life!
At Donna´s table I was always welcome, she made sure I got to taste her cooking, her baking and her deserts!´
I always felt lucky to be a part of the Irish Feeley clan although some customs were quite foreign to me.
One of those customs was calling the head of the household "Himself"
Donna, unaware of me not knowing this ,told me a long story about her husband Bob one night calling him "Himself " and I noticed that she thought I knew who she was referring to. I didn´t have the heart to tell her then that I had no clue but we laughed about it later.
She and I shared many wonderful times, birthdays, holidays, births of our grandsons, celebrations and parties.
I thought they would never end but they did and what I am left with are memories.... Good ones!
Selfishly I wanted her to live longer, to share more laughs and long walks around the nursing home we would both live in waiving at old men! I wanted her forever, that is who I wanted her to be, my forever mothers in law together like we always were!
She slipped away quietly one morning as a new day was beginning. The business of that day was starting and everyone hurried around. Yet for a small moment a life ended that meant so much to those whose Donna´s entire essence had been filled with .
It´s with love that I now say goodbye, soar in that sky now Donna and know that one day we will meet again love always, Gloria

We send our most heartfelt condolences to the Feely Family. Bob and Donna were the best neighbors anyone could hope for. We have enjoyed living next to such wonderful people these last 7 years. Time sure flies and I feel like we didn´t get enough time with them. We were saddened by the loss of Bob a few years ago.. and now saddened as Donna joins him in rest. They were wonderful people who will be dearly missed. Their Family will be in our prayers during this difficult time. Cindy, Jen and Robert.
