Diane Bunch Obituary

Diane Hutson Bunch, 78, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. She was born on April 28, 1947, in Charleston, South Carolina, to the late Frank Hutson and Elise Owens Hutson.

Diane was the devoted wife of Edward Bunch, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years of marriage until his passing. Diane dedicated many years to ministry alongside her husband. She earned her bachelor's degree from Moriah Institute of Christian Studies. Throughout her years in the church, she faithfully served in many roles, including as a counselor and a softball coach, always offering encouragement, wisdom, and a kind heart to those around her. Diane's greatest joy in life was her family. She cherished every moment spent with them and lived by the belief that family always comes first. Outside of her ministry, she enjoyed tending to her flower beds and working in her yard.

She is survived by her loving children: Glen E. Bunch (Denise) of Moncks Corner, Tammy M. Kitchens (Michael) of Greenville, and Gary C. Bunch (Patty) of Moncks Corner, SC; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren with one on the way; four brothers and one sister; as well as numerous beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Edward Bunch; her parents; as well as two siblings.

A visitation of family and friends will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, from 2:30pm until 3:30pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 S. Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The Funeral Service will begin at 3:30pm in the Chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485.
