Danny, I think of you daily. I have always appreciated the friendship and guidance that you have provided me. You always respected me for who I was and will never forget that. You were the father that I never had, and will always be grateful to you for that.

My name is Hillarie, and I had the pleasure to work with Danny on several occassions. He was good-hearted, gentle soul that always greeted me, and I'm sure others, with a big, warm smile and a hug. I wish my boys could have met him. I miss him but know he's in heaven. God Bless You

My name is Patrick McCann. I am Danny's 2nd cousin, and I am saddened that I never got to meet this fine man. Danny's father and my father were cousins who also never met; I'm not sure they were even aware of each other's existence because my grandmother, Corinne, left Huntersville about 1911 for Chicago. It's sad that I had to find out about him through his obituary; I regret not having met him. Perhaps some of his family members could share some stories and facts with me at some time.

My name is Kerry Barley Peterson and I do and will always miss my dear friend. Danny had such a wonderful outlook about life. He always uplifted me and we never had a conversation that did not involved laughter and I Love You to each other. We were so excited to watch the Gamecocks on his new TV...I will never forget how valiant you were and because of your bravery we live in somewhat free world. My prayers are with his and friends. We all Love and will miss you greatly Danny. ~ Kerry Beth ~

I am Danny's Aunt. He will be sorely missed, but what wonderful memories of him we have to hold dearly in our hearts. He was a war hero who came home in an era when veterans received no cheering crowds. I am so glad he lived to have people thank him for his valor and great service to our country as a Vietnam Veteran. He was so loyal to his friends and family as if to be otherwise would be immoral. He was a very, very fine person and his big family loves him very much. Our faith lets us know that he is home with many family members who have passed on. My heartfelt sympathies to his immediate family. We mourn his loss.

To the family and friends of Danny:

I pray that the peace of God will be with you at this time,
Danny was a man that spread his love and peace where ever he journeyed. The wild turkeys and out door life gave him so much joy. He often reminded me that he thoroughly experienced life and a person should always have a peace of mind.
Danny gave his talent and time to many. I will miss him,
Rev. Dr. Bettye W. Broomfield
