Going to miss talking and laughing with you. You always made sure I was okay and you loved your family. I´m still in disbelief. I hope you´ve reunited with the rest of family and you all are at peace.

Dale was a talker and a kind soul.
Eager to tell his story about Charleston and the Ross family. As a matter of fact when I met Dale in Brooklyn he was excited to prove he was a Ross. He talked about his daddy Ronald Mitchell and his siblings. He truly loved his grandmother Sadie. He could talk for hours about what she told him about her family. Of course Dale didn´t like to be corrected because I knew my aunt Sadie. He was always trying to connect with people from Charleston.
Over the years Dale has had a lot of jobs and was a hard worker.
About 3 years ago he started a cleaning business and incorporated his lady friend in the mix .I strongly urged Dale to have control of the business. Thus I helped him with the marketing and how to sell to customers. He as always was eager to go and take 50% of the information but he went on . He was a talker, a people person, and a charmer. His personality opened a lot of doors to customers for him.
I knew that Dale would need help getting up early in the morning. So I called him every day at 5am to assure his timely arrival.
I am proud to call Dale Cousin. Rest in peace and may God watch over him. If his son needs direction I am here for him. That would please Dale

I didn´t meet him until I was about 16 years old. It seemed like he just appeared here in NY out of no where. I´d never heard of him. Didn´t know who his parents were or how we were family but he said we were cousins and we instantly bonded. Dale loved family. My mom is one of 11 children, which means I have a lot of cousins, but none like Dale. We could go years without seeing each other but he always called or texted me. We could months without speaking but once we did we would stay on the phone all day, off and on, just catching up. He always made me feel loved and like I mattered to him. He introduced me to his son earlier this year and he told him that I was his best and favorite cousin. He will never know how that made my heart smile. I can replay some of his funniest stories and laugh like we did when he first told it. I can still hear him say my name when I answered his calls. I can still see him. They day that I was given the news, I heard the words but I didn´t believe. I immediately called him.....and left a voice mail. I don´t leave voice mails, and then I texted him. The whole day every time my phone lit up I half hoped it would be him, but it wasn´t. I don´t think he knew how much he meant to me. I don´t think I knew until now. I will miss him and all of our chats. He was loved.

His loving cousin,
