Daisy Proctor Obituary

Daisy Smith Proctor Summerville - Daisy Smith Proctor, 83, widow of Charles Proctor, entered into eternal peace on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at Summerville Medical Center. Daisy was born on April 30, 1937 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Peter Burbage and Ruby A Seigler. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 27 years, Charlie Proctor; a son, John M. Smith Jr; Mother, Ruby Seigler; Step-Father, James I. Seigler; Father, Pete Burbage; Brother, Pete Burbage, Jr.; and Sister, Carrie Burbage. Survivors include: son, Billy J. Smith (Jackie) of North Charleston; Daughter, Diane Appling (Stan) of Buford, GA; daughter, Belinda Shaw (Cory (CF)) of Harleyville; eight Grandchildren and twelve Great-Grandchildren and Aunt, Henrietta Wyndham, of Jacksonville, FL. Daisy was a very determined, hard-working woman and exhibited that trait in all that she did. Daisy raised four children and instilled a hard work ethic in each of them. She was the proud owner of a local ceramic shop, where she spent 50 plus years teaching others how to do ceramics. She loved working with her hands and helping others. Additionally, she owned and managed rental properties. She also participated in speaking engagements such as the Lifeline Volunteer Program in Gainesville, GA. Moreover, she was a member of the SC Ceramic Association and the Charleston Sail and Power Squadron. Services will be private and held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 1 o'clock at Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. So sorry for your loss! Ms. Daisy was a very sweet and kind lady. I once delivered some rock to her yard for her drive way. I actually look everytime I pass her house.
